Dance Theatre ERI is well known for its bold and interdisciplinary repertoire. ERI was founded in 1989 by Tiina Lindfors, Eeva Soini and Lassi Sairela. From the beginning, we have created original and impressive theatre, accessible to as wide an audience as possible.
Our beautiful and intimate theatre space is located on Yliopistonkatu 7. Besides its usual repertoire, ERI also performs commissioned works at different locations in Finland.
We work in close collaboration with a variety of schools, educational institutions, retirement homes and sheltered housing. We participate in many projects and perform on international stages.
We are an ambitious, professional theatre company whose purpose is to stir emotions and provoke ideas. Without forgetting to be humorous.
The touching stories we tell hit home in our intimate space, and joy and affection can be felt both on stage and in the auditorium. We are energised by you our audience, and in return we tell stories that resonate with both your heart and your soul.
Welcome to Dance Theatre ERI. We are glad that you are here.
Tassiteatteri ERI’s production Junglebook will swing into action and shares with the audience a new and interesting perspective on Rudyard Kipling’s classic tale The Junglebook. We invite the audience to venture though the colourfull and mesmerizing world of nature as we are reminded that in the animal kingdom we are the guests!

In the surreal and colourful world of Tivoli (the funfair), strange human destinies intertwine. The spectrum of emotions cleanses those who journey along, and opposites complete one another. In the wheel of life, the colourful meets the colourless, the tall the short, the fearful the brave, the bungler the skilled, and the short one always draws the longer straw.
Tivoli cuts deep, and there is no shortage of cotton candy either.

ERI presents in its autumn program a colourful fairy tale, Carlo Collodi’s Pinocchio, for children and the whole family.
The work is filled with adventure, wonder, excitement, and of course the magic of dance. Our innermost feelings do not always match how we appear on the outside. Through the story, we find ways to open our outer shell and discover our sensitivity, despite our differences.
Love, that unbroken bond between us, is the greatest gift, one that not even Pinocchio’s strings can restrain.
